The EOS Operation Director is a key position within the company. Working closely with the leadership team and the Atec operation team, the Operation director is handling the following activities:
- Ensures the translation of commercial forecasts into manufacturing plans for the various products.
- Participates in the definition of the production strategy , and ensures the management of our supplies and industrial stocks.
- Manages the team responsible for purchasing all items for the production process
- Assists in negotiation and vendor management for all purchased components.
- Leads cost of goods sold effort to maintain competitive costs contributing to profitability goals.
- Communicates any vendor issues that might cause delays in production plan and impact on sales to cross functional partners
- Leads the S&OP process for EOS and closely partners with all stakeholders to ensure support from the Operations team
- Defines the means of production adapted to the objectives and conducts their implementation and maintenance.
- Organizes the logistics of parts required for production such as finished products and spare parts. Conducts production and testing of in-house manufactured sub-assemblies, such as X-ray detectors.
- Pilots our industrial partner to ensure the manufacture and delivery of products to our customers in accordance with the commitments made.
- Sets up, controls and carries out recipe tests of the systems at our partner.
- Ensures the mastery of production documentation to comply with the regulations of medical devices.
- Ensures the quality and traceability of our products by continuously developing and improving production processes.
- Conducts internal and external productivity actions to achieve industrial cost targets.
- Drives risk mitigation planning and projects
- Leads industrial aspects in new product development programs.
- Monitors performance indicators related to product manufacturing and conducts corrective and preventive actions; participates in the continuous improvement of products.
- Follows EOS imaging's procedures and instructions and proposes improvements that can bring efficiency and quality.
- Keeps up to date on new developments and trends to understand customer and market needs for assigned products.
Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to effectively utilize internal resources to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Excellent project management and Production planning capabilites
- People management demonstrated skills and experience
- Vendor management and negotiation skills
- Logistics management and freight experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of motivation with the ability to operate as an individual and team leader.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Education : Master’s in Engineering or Production
- Language: French & English
- 10+ years of successful experience in HLB production of complex equipment, if possible, in the medical device field
- Demonstrated success working as an integral cross-functional team member
- Tangible experience of routinely working with external industrial partners
