Summary
Responsible for covering clinical offices based on operational need. Assists in the examination of patients under the direction of a Physician and in accordance with M.A. scope of practice. Thorough knowledge of infection control and aseptic techniques. Responsible for maintaining smooth patient flow by accurate assessment of patients’ needs thorough attention to physician orders and properly scheduling and follow-up of tests and procedures performed on patient. Act as an intermediary between physician and patients when necessary to more appropriately use the physician time.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Graduate from a recognized medical assistant program required. Two years experience working as a Medical Assistant in a multi-specialty group setting required. Medical Assistant certification and current BLS. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
