About the Galaxy Summer Internship Program:
The Galaxy NYC Summer Internship Program is an immersive and exciting, nine-week experience taking place on-site in our New York HQ office. During the nine weeks, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on, practical work experience on our Strategic Opportunities team. In addition to learning on the job, Galaxy interns participate in professional development programming, fun social events, and networking opportunities with senior leaders.
Program Dates: June 8th – August 7th, 2026
What You’ll Do:
- Become one of Galaxy’s technical and strategic experts on blockchain infrastructure and on-chain protocols, including DeFi, Staking and Tokenization.
- Work across Galaxy’s infrastructure business, liaising with the Staking, DeFi, Tokenization and GK8 teams.
- Support the development of a blockchain infrastructure-focused operating business with a full suite of products, with a focus on creating net new products and processes.
- Learn about products associated with blockchain infrastructure services and assist in tactical Galaxy-wide “special situations” (across derivatives, credit, asset management, etc.)
- Summarize research findings and propose new products and services in a clear, concise manner.
What We’re Looking For:
- Interest in and knowledge of the cryptocurrency ecosystem
- Critical thinking skills with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong emotional intelligence and a comfort level communicating with others
- Proactive and entrepreneurial spirit
- Self-directed, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative research workflow
- Comfort working across multiple workstreams and teams, in a whitespace environment
- Demonstrated interest in building on-chain personal projects in areas like:
- Defi
- Prop AMMs
- Tokenization
- And Consumer Crypto Applications
- Strongly preferred:
- Pursuing an degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, economics or engineering.
- Strong Interest in AI and Agentic Workflows
- Smart contract proficiency: Solidity, Rust, etc.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Undergraduate or master’s students graduating between December 2026 and June 2027
- Eligible master’s students must have fewer than two years of relevant, full-time work experience
- Students enrolled in PhD, MBA, or JD programs are not eligible to apply.
Interns are classified as non-exempt employees and will be paid a rate of $55/hr.
