[42dot Vietnam] QA Engineer (Automotive)

The 42dot Vietnam subsidiary of 42dot will serve as a strategic QA hub dedicated to ensuring the quality and reliability of automotive software. Working in close collaboration with 42dot HQ and global R&D centers, the entity will lead testing, validation, and quality enhancement efforts for vehicle software systems.

At the 42dot Global QA Center in Vietnam, you will comprehensively verify the hardware, software, and performance quality of vehicles and infotainment systems. Based on your background and strengths, the specific role may focus on one or more areas such as ECU (Electronic Control Units), IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment), or embedded platforms. Cross-domain collaboration may also be required when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Test planning & scenario design: Develop test plans and scenarios based on requirements for hardware interfaces, software features, and system performance.

• Test environment setup: Configure ECU/HIL/IVI equipment, network simulations, measurement devices, and verification tools.

• Validation execution:

  • Hardware: Verify power/boot sequences, I/O devices, and communication interfaces.

  • Software: Test IVI apps and vehicle functions, validate UI responsiveness and network connectivity.

  • Performance: Conduct CPU/GPU/memory bottleneck analysis, profiling, and optimization.

• Log analysis & reporting: Create test reports, identify root causes of issues, and propose improvements.

• Test automation & optimization: Build automation environments using Appium, adb scripts, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of QA experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Hardware validation (measurement tools, power/boot sequence, etc.)

  • Software functionality validation (Android/embedded environments)

  • Performance analysis & optimization (CPU/GPU/memory/network)

• Basic English communication skills for QA tasks (written & verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

• Applicants are encouraged to clearly highlight their strengths and relevant experiences in their application. Multiple entries are welcome.

• Vehicle (Hardware) QA

  • Experience testing ECUs and vehicle controllers (HVAC, seats, charging, etc.)

  • Hands-on experience with measurement devices (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes)

• IVI (Software) QA

  • Testing experience with Android-based IVI apps (Media, Phone Projection, Driving View, etc.)

  • Validation of connectivity features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB

• Performance QA (Optimization)

  • Experience in system performance profiling, bottleneck analysis, and optimization

  • Performance test automation using CI/CD environments

• General Preferred Experience

  • Experience in HIL/SIL-based test automation

  • Understanding of automotive quality standards (A-SPICE, ISO 26262, etc.)

  • Experience in global collaboration (English-based work)

  • Korean language communication skills (written & verbal)
