The Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager with deep expertise in 5G Core networks, Service-Based Architecture (SBA), cloud-native platforms, and multi‑vendor integration. This role will lead the end‑to‑end design, validation, and delivery of 5G Core programs, ensuring adherence to 3GPP standards and alignment with customer business objectives.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical leadership, program management, and solution architecture experience across 4G/5G Packet Core, virtualization, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Technical Leadership

• Lead the overall program for 5G Core implementation, ensuring technical compliance with 3GPP Rel‑15/16/17 standards.
• Define architecture strategies for cloud‑native and SBA‑based 5G Core deployments (AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF, NRF, NSSF, NEF).
• Drive NSA → SA migration planning and execution, including configuration migration and Go‑Live orchestration.

Program & Delivery Management

• Own the full E2E delivery lifecycle—planning, execution, risk management, and customer alignment.
• Oversee lab integration, field trials, Proof‑of‑Concept (POC) builds, and production deployments.
• Define and manage integration test plans covering functional, performance, and interoperability scenarios.
• Ensure multi‑vendor interoperability across 5G Core, RAN, OSS/BSS, EPC, and edge platforms.
• Validate 5G interfaces and protocols such as HTTP/2, Diameter, GTP‑U, SCTP, and SBI‑based APIs.

Platform & Cloud-Native Deployment

• Lead onboarding and lifecycle management of 5G Core Network Functions on Red Hat OpenShift (or equivalent Kubernetes CaaS platforms).
• Work closely with platform teams to align on NFVI, CNF readiness, security, and multi‑cluster strategies.
• Integrate automation and CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation and delivery.

Cross‑Functional Engagement

• Collaborate with Engineering, Cloud, OSS/BSS, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless program execution.
• Partner with vendors and solution providers to achieve aligned, open‑standard‑compliant deployments (3GPP, ETSI NFV).

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary technical interface for senior customer leadership, ensuring transparent communication and expectation management.
• Present program status, design decisions, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and executive sponsors.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field (preferred).

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in telecom, with at least 5 years focused on 4G/5G Packet Core architecture, design, and integration.
• Hands‑on delivery experience with large‑scale 5G Core, cloud-native, or automation programs in multi‑vendor environments.
• Proven experience with 5G MEC, enterprise slicing, and network exposure capabilities.
• Strong expertise in troubleshooting integration issues and resolving critical escalations.

Skills

• Deep understanding of 5G Core interfaces, call flows, and protocol stacks.
• Strong knowledge of SBA, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and API-first integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automation frameworks, and DevOps pipelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
