5G Test Engineer- UE/RAN- Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative 5G Test Engineer specializing in UE/RAN to join our dynamic team in Bangalore, India. As a key member of our cutting-edge 5G development project, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our 5G network infrastructure.

• Develop and execute comprehensive test cases for 5G features, focusing on L1, L2, and L3 protocols
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and prepare test plans for new features and existing functionalities
• Design and implement automated test scenarios to improve efficiency and coverage
• Analyze test results, identify bugs, and track issues through their lifecycle
• Prepare detailed test reports with actionable insights and recommendations
• Verify that existing legacy features meet specified requirements
• Work with lab setup teams to manage and adapt hardware configurations for verification purposes
• Stay up-to-date with the latest 5G technologies and testing methodologies
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field
• 2-3+ years of experience in eNB/gNB protocol testing, particularly in 3GPP L1/L2/L3 and 4G/5G Baseband testing
• Strong knowledge of 5GNR 3GPP Protocols, procedures, releases, and specifications
• Proficiency in test methodologies, tools, and simulators at system and node level
• Familiarity with Iperf, Wireshark, and UE Simulators such as TMA/TM500 (Viavi) and QXDM
• Experience with cloud technologies, Java, Perl, XML, Python, and Linux for automated test scenarios
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools, such as Jenkins
• Proficiency in version control tools like Git and Gerrit
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning new technologies
• Experience with 5G technology, wireless communication systems, and Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture
