We’re looking for an Accounting & Operations Associate to help keep Regard’s financial and operational engines running smoothly. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day accounting and finance processes, including financial reporting, forecasting, payroll, invoicing, insurance, and month-end close, while partnering closely with our VP of Finance and outsourced accounting team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across our financial systems and operations.

Responsibilities:
Partner with our outsourced accounting firm to ensure timely and accurate month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reportingManage client invoicing, collections, and vendor payments, including reimbursements through RampPartner with People Ops to process payroll for employees and contractors, ensuring accurate benefits, deductions, and headcount dataMaintain and update the company’s financial model with actuals and assist with forecasting and budgeting cyclesTrack and analyze company expenses, flag variances, and identify cost-saving opportunitiesHelp prepare monthly financial summaries and presentations for investors and board meetingsManage insurance documentation, COI requests, policy renewals, and business or tax registrationsContribute to improving internal controls, policies, and workflows to drive efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field3+ years of accounting or finance experienceStrong grasp of accounting principles, with the ability to manage both recurring daily tasks and more strategic financial projectsExcellent analytical skills and high attention to detailProven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environmentClear and effective communicator with strong collaboration skills across teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working for a tech company, with familiarity in software revenue recognitionExposure to startup environments, including financial planning and scaling operationsExperience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software

For this role, Regard is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, and are within the New York City metro areaIn-office days are Tuesday and Thursday.
