Mission statement
We are looking for a hands-on, Belgium based Accounting Specialist to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting of our Belgian entity and support group consolidation. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys operational bookkeeping, and would like exposure to crypto-specific accounting challenges.
Job Description
Full-cycle bookkeeping for the Belgian entity (Belgian GAAP) using Odoo
Monthly Bank and crypto wallet reconciliations (multi-currency fiat accounts + on-ramp/off-ramp transactions)
Preparing and filing monthly VAT returns
Quarterly Intercompany reconciliations
Posting and reconciling trading revenue, fees, rebates and staking rewards
Assisting with month-end closing, group consolidation and flux analysis
Supporting statutory accounts preparation and annual audit
Helping implement new tools and automations as we migrate processes into NetSuite (2026 project)
Acting as the main point of contact with our Belgian social secretariat and external accountants
Background and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Graduaat/Bachelor Accountancy-Fiscaliteit) or equivalent
1-5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience (Belgian GAAP)
Hands-on experience with Odoo or transferable skills in other similar accounting software
Experience with crypto wallets and crypto accounting software (e.g. Cryptio) is a strong advantage
Good knowledge of Belgian VAT rules and basic corporate tax
Fluent in French and/or Dutch + professional English
Detail-oriented, structured and comfortable working with large volumes of transactions
Eligible to work in Belgium (EU citizenship or valid work permit)
Nice to have
Knowledge of IFRS and/or MiCA reporting
Basic scripting (Python, Excel VBA) or interest in automation
Previous role in a scale-up, fintech or trading company
