The AR Representative is responsible for researching, resolving, and assisting with timely follow-up and collections for our clients’ accounts receivables.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities
Process transactions assigned as per the defined standard operating procedure.
Review aged accounts, follow up and appeal unpaid and/or incorrectly paid or denied accounts.
Meet or exceed the production and assigned quotas daily and quality accuracy targets/goals assigned.
Plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work to meet established objectives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and procedures.
Answer questions and resolve issues for consumers and clients in a timely and accurate manner.
Review and address all correspondence and emails promptly.
Escalate process-related issues to the supervisor/manager accordingly.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
Typing skills and accuracy in keying data required.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify inaccurate or incomplete data.
Strong logical reasoning skills to identify and correct process errors.
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to correctly read and assess medical documents.
Basic cognitive skills including language, math, and reasoning ability.
Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds (both non-technical and highly technical users).
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain internal and external business relationships.
Decision-Making Skills: Ability to arrive at appropriate decisions after evaluating multiple options.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong listening ability, including communicating with customers when needed.
Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to review problems, determine root causes, and identify paths to resolution.

Education and Experience
1 year of experience in follow-up of healthcare claims.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
