As part of Tatu City’s commitment to empowering the community and bridging the digital divide, we have introduced the After-School AI Program, aimed at equipping students aged 14–15 from Tatu Primary School with critical front-end web development skills. The program is rooted in hands-on learning and real-world project execution and will be implemented at the training academy.

Role Overview

The After-School AI Program Tutor will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons in front-end web development to upper primary students. The tutor will support the development of digital literacy, creativity, and problem-solving through interactive sessions and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured lessons in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript aligned with the program curriculum.
  • Facilitate interactive, hands-on coding workshops to reinforce student understanding.
  • Guide students through individual and group projects, including online portfolios and real-world simulations.
  • Provide mentorship and support during the project.
  • Foster an inclusive, creative, and collaborative learning environment for all students.
  • Track attendance, monitor progress, and report outcomes to the CSR Officer.
  • Support logistics, resource availability, and coordination of sessions with the CSR team.
  • Contribute to program documentation, student feedback, and end-of-program evaluations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or ongoing studies in Computer Science, IT, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience teaching or tutoring coding, especially to adolescents or beginners.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, jQuery).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into accessible content for young learners.
  • Experience with project-based learning methodologies.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to promoting digital inclusion and community upliftment.
