The Team:
As part of the Marketing Department, the Demand Generation team works together to develop, manage, and optimize integrated campaigns that drive leads for our self-serve and sales-assisted funnels. As a valued member of the Demand Gen. team, you’ll work cross-functionally to generate awareness among home service businesses, convert and monetize existing in-market demand, and help prospects keep Jobber top-of-mind.
The Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Organic Search, and working as part of the Organic Search team at Jobber. The AI Search and SEO Manager will play a key role in pushing our SEO and AI Search strategy, directly increasing organic visibility, qualified traffic, and conversion rates.
We need a leader who can set the vision and do the work; someone who pairs strategic thinking with deep execution to grow organic visibility, high-intent traffic, and revenue across both traditional search engines and AI-driven discovery.
You’ll be given autonomy to hold yourself accountable for decisions, outcomes, and timelines that impact your work.
The AI Search and SEO Manager will:
Own and evolve the Organic and AI Search strategy. You’ll develop and execute a comprehensive SEO and AI Search strategy that enhances our presence in LLM/AI surfaces (including Google, Bing, AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) and that aligns with our business goals.
Own reporting and insights. You’ll define how we track and communicate Organic Search and AI visibility, deliver monthly organic search performance reports, tie our efforts to revenue impact, and translate performance into clear narratives and roadmaps for leadership and key stakeholders.
Get hands-on. You’ll roll up your sleeves to run technical audits (crawlability, indexation, site architecture, redirects, canonical issues, page speed, etc), implement structured data, create and maintain sitemaps, lead keyword and intent research, guide migrations, and partner with engineering to ship fixes.
Collaborate across teams. Success in this role requires strong partnerships with content marketing, brand and design, web strategy, product, and agency partners to push Organic and AI Search performance forward.
Drive flawless execution. With strong project management skills, you’ll ensure Organic and AI Search initiatives are delivered on time, on scope, and with measurable results.
Champion experimentation. You’ll test innovative approaches in Organic and AI Search, analyze the outcomes, and share learnings to accelerate performance while educating the broader marketing team.
Be an advocate across Jobber. You will elevate the importance of Organic and AI Search, identifying opportunities for teammates to contribute and embedding these practices across the organization.
Stay ahead of the curve. With algorithms, AI Search, and LLM discoverability evolving rapidly, you’ll keep Jobber at the forefront by staying up to date on algorithm shifts and AI search trends, on the latest tools and vendors, and by proposing new tests and playbooks.
To be successful, you’ll need:
Strong project management skills. You will need to get stakeholder buy-in on projects and be accountable for ensuring team members are clear on deliverables so that projects move forward.
A deep understanding of technical SEO and site architecture, and AI search expertise. You have owned SEO for a complex SaaS site with 500+ organic sessions a month, and have a track record of developing and implementing strategies to increase visibility across AI platforms.
Experience with SEO and analytics tools like SEMRush, AHREFS, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and Google Analytics
A bias to execution. You’re comfortable spending time auditing, fixing, and documenting improvements, not just ideating.
To digest ambiguous data, ask the right questions, and take action on critical insights.
To be imaginative. We’re looking for someone who will stay up-to-date with trends in the home services industry and apply these trends to our SEO and content strategies.
To seek out feedback. You’re someone who has a willingness to receive feedback and the ambition to use it to improve.
To be a team player. You’ll take the lead and drive projects, but will also be called on to play a supporting role and provide SEO/AI Search expertise for your teammates.
Compensation:
At Jobber, we believe that compensation should be transparent, fair, and reflective of your experience and growth. This role has a minimum annual salary of $98,300, a midpoint of $115,700, and a maximum salary of $133,700, designed to show the progression from learning the ropes to truly excelling.
We design our compensation to reflect each new hire’s skills, experience against the complexity of the role, ensuring a fair and competitive salary. Our range is intentionally broad to support growth and long-term impact, with fully established hires typically starting around the midpoint. The higher end of the range is reserved for those who have demonstrated deep expertise and lasting contributions, while offers below the midpoint reflect strong potential with room to develop. This approach ensures that compensation aligns with both an individual’s current capabilities and their opportunity for future growth.
