Analyst, Portfolio Operations (Bilingual)

Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB’s mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada.

The Analyst, Portfolio Operations, supports the daily operations and administration of a portfolio primarily composed of debt instruments. Working closely with senior team members, this role ensures the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of data, documentation and reporting throughout the investment lifecycle.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Support transaction processing and maintenance of investment records throughout the asset lifecycle
  • Review and organize supporting documentation for transactions, funding requests and amendments
  • Capture and maintain key data elements from credit agreements, including terms, covenants and reporting obligations
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with financial and operational covenants and prepare reports highlighting exceptions or upcoming deliverables
  • Support collateral management activities, including maintaining custody of original documents, tracking renewals and releases, as well as monitoring collateral coverage and insurance compliance
  • Assist with oversight and reconciliation of active blocked accounts, ensuring compliance with account control and reporting requirements
  • Prepare recurring portfolio and covenant monitoring reports, reconciliations and data extracts to support internal and external reporting
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of dashboards and analytics using Power BI or Excel to provide insights into portfolio activity and performance
  • Maintain and update process documentation to ensure consistency and audit readiness
  • Participate in initiatives to improve operational efficiency through automation and enhanced internal controls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment, risk and finance, to ensure data accuracy and process alignment

 

Your ideal profile:

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, commerce, accounting or a related discipline
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, private credit, fund administration or loan operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Working knowledge of credit agreements, financial covenants and loan documentation is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused mindset
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is highly desirable
