Application Automation Engineer Intern [00002]

As a team member of the Innovation team, you will be involved in the software development of innovative system solutions. This role offers hands-on experience to design, develop, and maintain web-based applications and robotic process automation (RPA) solutions. This role focus on building scalable web applications and automating business process, improving operational efficiency, along with opportunities to contribute to research and innovation.

Intern would be working together with the R&D innovation team in the following tasks:
a) Work with R&D team to develop software applications and necessary APIs.
b) Design, develop and maintain web applications using front-end and backend technologies.
c) Analyse and identify automation opportunities in business processes, and develop and integrate RPA bots with web applications, API, databases, and third-party systems.
d) Perform testing, debugging, and performance optimization for both web apps and automation workflow.

Qualifications

a) Familiar with programming languages such as, Python, Nodejs, Java etc.
b) Experience with web application technologies such as, React, Next.js, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, etc.
c) Experience with web technologies protocols such as, HTTP, WebSocket, REST API, MQTT.
d) Knowledge in robotic automation process and tools, e.g. UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, will be an added advantage.
e) Knowledge in Docker, Cloud technology - Amazon Web Services (AWS), will be an added advantage.
f) Knowledge in AI context engineering and Large Language Model (LLM) will be an added advantage.
g) Willingness to learn, good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
