Assistant Controller responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial results and position across multiple business units in collaboration with the National Service Center finance team.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor key operational, client, and financial metrics.
  • Support development and consolidation of periodic forecasts.
  • Perform variance analysis and help develop actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support management of transactional processing functions including A/P, A/R, billing, payroll, and general ledger maintenance and in relation with the business (account manager, program coordinator, etc…)
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline financial operations and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies established by Eurofins and its clients.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills in all areas of responsibility.
  • Promote and exemplify the company’s vision and values in day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate transaction processing in support of business operations.
  • Assist in audits and regulatory reporting as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Accounting and Financial Management – A solid working understanding of core accounting principles and financial measurement and management.
  • Analysis and Technology Tools – Advanced knowledge on analysis methods and applicable technology tools, including Excel and basic database applications to support business operations through financial and KPI measurement and management.
  • Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. 
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications

    ​​​​​​Basic Minimum Educational Requirements:

    • HS Diploma minimum
    • College Degree; Food manufacturing or food safety background preferred

    ​​​​​​Basic Minimum Qualifications:

    • Accounting/finance experience
    • Business management knowledge
    • KPI measurement and management experience
    • ​Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

    Additional Information

    Position is full-time, working remote Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime as needed.
