This position has a direct impact on the business by ensuring our AP and AR functions operate efficiently and predictably. You will act as the senior finance lead in India, partnering closely with global stakeholders while remaining hands-on in execution and problem-solving.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of junior finance professionals, setting clear expectations and creating a positive, accountable team environment.
  • Remain hands-on with complex accounting entries, reconciliations, and issue resolution where required.
  • Act as the key point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies in India.
  • Oversee preparation and review of GST, TDS, and other statutory filings, ensuring accuracy and on-time submission.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls, and documentation, particularly within AP and AR workflows.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Technology to support smooth end-to-end financial operations.
  • Monitor team performance against operational metrics, addressing issues proactively and improving delivery standards.

What we’re looking for

  • 8+ years of relevant commercial experience in finance or accounting roles, with proven exposure to leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Indian GAAP, statutory accounting, audits, and local tax requirements including GST and TDS.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ideally in a global or multi-entity environment.
  • Proven people management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and ensure morale.
  • Solid experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, ERP platforms, Tally, and advanced Excel usage.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes, including revenue, receivables, payables, payroll inputs, and reconciliations.
  • Confident communicator who can work effectively with global stakeholders and external partners.
  • A practical, detail-oriented approach with the ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on delivery.
