The Associate Marketing Manager – China will be responsible for devising and delivering strategic campaign activity for Omdia, the Intelligence and Advisory brand of Informa TechTarget. The primary focus of the role will be supporting revenue growth goals by creating compelling content campaigns, driving leads, as well as supporting media and PR activity.
Collaborating with the wider marketing team, sales, events, product, and research, the Associate Marketing Manager will create and deliver the China marketing plan.
Success in this role will depend on a strong understanding of target personas, growing and engaging the local audience database, and effectively activating and optimizing key social media platforms in China to build awareness, engagement, and demand.
- Support the management and ongoing development of Omdia’s WeChat channels, working with the PR and comms team to deliver consistent and timely posts that drive engagement and follower growth across key target audiences.
- Assist with building and maintaining the WeChat editorial calendar, coordinating content approvals, localizing global content, and ensuring alignment with messaging, priorities, and brand guidelines.
- Track and report on WeChat performance metrics (including reach, engagement, and follower growth), sharing insights to support ongoing content optimization and planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute year-round marketing campaigns, aligned to the overall business goals and objectives, as well as market-segment specific goals and objectives.
- Work on the ideation, execution, and management of integrated marketing, communications, and demand generation/lead generation campaigns through web, digital advertising, paid media and media partnerships, email, social media, and other tactics.
- Own the development and delivery of business development events in China.
- Build insight-based campaigns which rely on strong content themes to showcase the expertise and knowledge in the division.
- Develop a holistic website approach for China, identifying opportunities for local search engine rankings, whilst also maintaining the primary Omdia website as the central point of all content-led, insights-driven lead generation campaigns.
- Ensure consistent use of established branding, core value proposition messaging, imagery, and positioning across internal and external marketing materials, graphics, communications, and more.
- Maintain internal and external relationships with relevant vendors and partners.
- Interpret and analyze marketing/advertising campaign results and data; test, monitor, analyze and optimize according to KPIs; develop recommended strategies, timelines, and tactics to further optimize marketing spend and campaign ROI.
- Analyze and report trends over time and use these insights to build more effective campaigns.
- Manage the marketing budget for assigned projects/market segments – planning, monitoring, and reconciliation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field or relevant experience
- Experience in progressively more complex B2B campaigns, creating and managing digital content/insights campaigns independently
- Thorough understanding & experience of marketing function, planning, operations, and execution using marketing automation technology (preferably Marketo), training and optimization
- Solid understanding of PR and the role it plays in brand awareness and demand generation
- Experience of working with CMS platforms (but coding knowledge not required), training and optimization
- Thorough understanding & experience of digital (PPC, SEM, SEO, online advertising) and content marketing
- Proven track record of delivering event marketing campaigns, as well as managing logistical arrangements
- Budget management experience
- Database development and growth including segmentation / personalization
- An entrepreneurial spirit, goal-oriented and self-motivated
- Adapts to changing situations and requirements, manages multiple deadlines and activities simultaneously
- Out of the box thinking, willing to challenge norms and come up with fresh ideas and approaches on reaching audiences and engaging our customers
- Able to build strong business relationships. Well-developed presentation skills
- Problem solver, balancing stakeholder needs while maintaining brand and business objectives. Identifies roadblocks, determines fixes, and works in a team environment to implement the solutions to get to the end goal
