Associate Principal Engineer (Project Manager - Banking)

Must have Skills : Project Management methodologies (Expert), Communication & collaboration (Expert), Stakeholder Management, Agile project scoping, Banking & Insurance.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Proven technical leadership experience with a strong foundation in software development and systems architecture.
• Demonstrated expertise in estimation techniques, including effort sizing, sprint planning, release planning, and capacity forecasting.
• In-depth knowledge of the Banking sector and broader BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) industry, including regulatory standards, core banking systems, and digital transformation trends.
• Experience working with global customers, managing cross-cultural communication and aligning delivery with international standards.
• Strong ability to engage with senior stakeholders, present complex technical concepts clearly, and influence strategic decisions.
• Excellent teamwork and leadership skills, with a track record of serving as a role model and fostering high-performance teams.
• Proven ability to facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments, and organizational levels.
• Consistently deliver results with accountability, even under tight deadlines and ambiguous or evolving requirements.
• Willingness to confront difficult issues, drive resolution, and identify opportunities for growth and process improvement.
• Skilled at consulting with clients and teammates to uncover root causes, evaluate options, and co-create effective solutions.
• Understands how changes impact organizational processes and systems, and proactively manages interdependencies.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Guide the team and organization in the effective use of Agile/Scrum practices and values.
• Serve as a servant leader, empowering teams to achieve goals while maintaining alignment with business objectives.
• Act as a teacher, coach, and mentor for Agile adoption across teams, driving continuous learning and maturity.
• Foster a culture where Scrum teams can thrive, innovate, and take ownership of their work.
• Ensure that Agile principles and values are not only understood but consistently enacted across projects and initiatives.
• Support and enforce team working agreements, ensuring clarity, transparency, and mutual respect.
• Facilitate the teams progress toward achieving short-term deliverables and long-term strategic goals.
• Lead relentless improvement efforts, promoting retrospectives, Kaizen events, and data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with product owners, engineering leads, and business stakeholders to prioritize backlogs and manage scope effectively.
• Champion technical excellence and ensure that quality, scalability, and maintainability are integral to all deliverables.
