As an Associate Renewals Manager, you will play a critical role in maximizing customer retention and minimizing churn through effective sales and relationship-building techniques. You will be responsible for managing the renewal process, aligning with customer needs, and collaborating with internal teams to drive customer success and growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Maximize customer retention rates by employing effective sales techniques through phone, video, and email communications, while focusing on minimizing customer churn and contraction.
- Oversee the renewal process to ensure Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) is retained or expanded.
- Assess and evaluate license usage and complete the necessary true-up requirements.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer business needs and goals to generate accurate renewal quotes.
- Provide administrative support for renewals to Renewal Managers and Account Executives as needed.
- Ensure all renewals are closed within a timely manner to support revenue goals.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success Managers on strategies and plans for renewals, using customer analytics and metrics to enhance decision-making.
- Coordinate with customers to ensure that Purchase Orders (POs) and order forms are completed accurately for smooth internal deal approvals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in customer success, sales, or a renewals-focused role.
- Strong understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Internet Connection:
- Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps.
- Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps.
- Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage.
- Primary Device:
- Desktop or laptop equipped with at least:
- Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer), Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer), AMD Ryzen 5, or an equivalent processor.
- A minimum of 8 GB RAM.
- Backup Device:
- Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor.
- Must be functional during power interruptions.
- A functioning webcam.
- A noise-canceling USB headset.
- A quiet, dedicated home office space.
- Peripherals and Workspace: A smartphone for communication and verification purposes.
