Azure Data Engineer

Global consulting firm seeking an Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data pipelines and workflows using Azure cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data engineering principles and hands-on experience with Azure data services.

• Experience: 7-14 yrs
• Location: Bangalore

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and other Azure data tools. Strong in SQL, Python

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Services (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks).

2. Transform raw data into meaningful insights through effective ETL processes.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and deliver data solutions.

4. Optimize and maintain existing data infrastructure for performance and efficiency.

5. Ensure data quality and integrity through regular monitoring and troubleshooting.

6. Work with data scientists and analysts to refine data models and enable advanced analytics.

7. Implement security measures and best practices for data handling and storage.

Technical Skills:

- Proficient in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.

- Strong SQL knowledge for querying and manipulating data.

- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing principles, and data lakes.

- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and SQL.

- Understanding of data governance and security practices.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Azure technologies.

3. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
