Azure DevOps Engineer

Developex is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of a project for our customer.

The project you will work with helps to secure connected organizations by utilizing its cutting-edge technology that allows CISOs to see, control, react and manage the risk networks face for any user, any device, anywhere.

Requirements:

CI/CD & DevOps

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML & Classic);
• Design and support of multi-stage CI/CD pipelines (build, test, release, deploy);
• Pipeline optimization, troubleshooting, security best practices;
• Reusable pipelines, templates, third-party integrations.

Source Control

• Strong Git knowledge (branching, PRs, rebasing, tagging);
• Experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps (repos, policies, approvals);
• Mono-repo and multi-repo approaches.

Operating Systems & Scripting

• Strong Linux knowledge (Ubuntu, RHEL);
• Experience with macOS environments;
• Bash/Shell scripting, PowerShell is a plus;
• Automation for build, test, and deployment.

Virtualization (VMware)

• Hands-on experience with VMware vCenter / ESXi;
• VM provisioning, templates, snapshots, lifecycle management;
• Automation using PowerCLI and vSphere APIs;
• CI/CD integration with vCenter-based infrastructure.

QA & Testing

• Understanding of testing types (unit, integration, regression, system);
• Integration of automated tests into CI/CD;
• Experience with testing tools (e.g. NUnit, JUnit, pytest, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress);
• Test environments, reports, coverage, quality gates.

Build & Release

• Managing self-hosted and cloud build agents;
• Artifact repositories (Azure Artifacts, GitHub Packages, Nexus, Artifactory);
• Package managers (apt, yum, brew, npm, pip);
• Versioning and release automation.

Monitoring & Reliability

• Logging, metrics, alerts for CI/CD pipelines;
• Failure handling, rollbacks, recovery strategies.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with containers (Docker);
• Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-prem VMware + CI/CD tooling);
• GitHub Actions / GitHub Pipelines.
