Description of Duties
Title: BOM Specialist
Classification: Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate*: $24.00/hr
Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00AM-5:30PM
Schedule*: Onsite, Hybrid minimum 4 days in/office, Monday - Thursday (some Fridays in office as needed)
Location: Van Nuys, CA
We are seeking an exceptional BOM Specialist to join us at our corporate office in Van Nuys, CA. This position reports to the Director of Pre-Production (to be hired), and serves a critical role in helping support our product teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, organize and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all apparel products.
- Translate sketches, pass offs and CADs and specifications into structured BOMs.
Accurately document all components, including fabrics, linings, trims, hardware, labels, packaging and colorways.
- Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Technical Design and Vendors to ensure BOM data aligns with tech packs, spec sheets and design intent.
Update and revise BOMs to reflect design changes throughout the development lifecycle.Attend development and production fittings. Assist in Airtable data cleanup, reporting and process improvement initiatives.Generate reports and analytics related to BOM accuracy, material usage and cost impact.
- Review vendor feedback to ensure BOM accuracy and consistency and on time delivery across global partners.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with design, tech, and production.
- Daily correspondence with vendors.
- Other tasks and responsibilities reasonably requested or assigned by the Company.
Qualifications
- Product Development or Production experience (1-2 years) preferred but not limited.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Computer proficiency in Photoshop & Illustrator, a plus.
- Understanding of Airtable or Alternate PLM system, a plus.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in an environment of constant shifting priorities and change.
- Ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem solve.
Physical Requirements

- Able to lift/move/push/pull objects up to 25 lbs.
