We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced BIM Coordinator to serve as the central authority and strategic leader for all digital delivery and Building Information Modeling (BIM) initiatives across the company's extensive portfolio. This senior leadership position is pivotal in driving project efficiency, mitigating risk, ensuring unparalleled design quality, and unlocking long-term asset value through the establishment and governance of a world-class BIM framework. The ideal candidate is a seasoned architect with deep expertise in digital construction, who will act as the primary driver of digital transformation within the engineering and construction lifecycle. This role is responsible for strategically integrating people, processes, and technology to create and maintain a single source of truth for all project data, from initial concept through to operations.
Responsibilities:
BIM Strategy & Governance
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the corporate-wide BIM strategy, standards, and protocols, ensuring full alignment with international best practices, particularly the ISO 19650 suite of standards.
- Author, maintain, and govern the master BIM Execution Plan (BEP) template. Oversee its rigorous customization and application across a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects, including residential communities, commercial high-rises, and complex infrastructure works.
- Establish and enforce the comprehensive governance structure for the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring absolute data integrity, security, and standardized information exchange protocols are followed by all internal teams, external consultants, and contractors.
- Act as the ultimate technical authority on the application of data classification systems. Direct the correct implementation of standards such as Uniclass 2015 and CSI MasterFormat/UniFormat to ensure that project data is structured, consistent, and valuable from design through to asset management and operations.
Project Delivery & Coordination Oversight
- Direct the overall process of multi-disciplinary model federation. Ensure that all discipline-specific models, including Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and Infrastructure are seamlessly integrated into a cohesive and reliable project-wide digital asset.
- Oversee the entire clash detection and resolution lifecycle. This extends beyond the simple issuance of clash reports to include chairing high-stakes interdisciplinary resolution meetings, driving accountability among stakeholders, and ensuring that proposed solutions are commercially viable, technically sound, and accurately implemented in the models.
- Manage and audit the flow of information and model deliverables at all key project milestones. Enforce strict compliance with specified Levels of Development (LOD) and information requirements as defined in the BEP, ensuring the right information is available to the right people at the right time.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and build the capability of the internal team of BIM engineers and coordinators. Establish clear performance metrics, foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement, and ensure the team is equipped to support the organization's ambitious development pipeline.
- Serve as the single point of contact and trusted advisor for all BIM-related matters to senior management, project directors, external design consultants, and main contractors. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Champion the value proposition of BIM across the entire organization. Provide strategic guidance, targeted training, and clear communication to non-technical stakeholders to ensure enterprise-wide buy-in, effective collaboration, and maximum return on technology investment.
Technology & Process Innovation
- Continuously scan the market for emerging AEC technologies, software platforms, and innovative workflows. Critically evaluate their potential impact on project delivery and develop compelling business cases for their adoption and integration into the corporate technology stack.
- Direct the corporate strategy for the development, management, and quality control of all central BIM content and parametric Revit family libraries, ensuring they are robust, standardized, and efficient.
- Champion the strategic integration of BIM with other project functions to maximize the value derived from the digital models. Drive initiatives related to 4D (construction sequencing and scheduling), 5D (cost estimation and management), and 6D (facility and asset management), transforming the BIM model into a lifecycle asset.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s in architecture is required & Master's degree is an advantage
- A mandatory minimum of fifteen (15) years of post-qualification experience in the architectural design and construction industry, with a significant portfolio of delivered projects.
- A mandatory minimum of seven (5) years of dedicated experience in a BIM leadership or management role, with demonstrable experience overseeing the digital delivery of large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects (e.g., masterplans, high-rise towers, complex infrastructure).
- Demonstrable experience authoring and implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and corporate-level BIM standards on live, complex projects.
- A proven track record of managing, mentoring, and developing a team of BIM specialists.
- Expert-level understanding of international BIM standards and protocols, particularly the ISO 19650 suite.
