The Role

Are you a strategic brand marketer who truly believes in the power of stories over stuff? If you’re ready to make a real difference to an iconic Australian brand, you should join us.

We’re looking for an experienced Brand Manager to deliver some seriously exciting projects for RedBalloon over this 12-month contract. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager for RedBalloon, this role is responsible for delivering major brand campaigns, brand partnerships, and a rollout of a new brand tone of voice & guidelines across every touchpoint for the business. This role connects the customer to the organisation and will be a key stakeholder in website transformation projects, new partner integrations, and voice of customer.

To be successful in this role, you will be incredibly passionate about our customers – regularly engaging with them through research and social listening. Your experience in project management and effective brand planning sets you apart, with your ability to identify key opportunities for RedBalloon leading our creative teams to success. You will lead the execution of our brand strategy, through new partnerships and delivering the ‘big ideas’.


Core Activities

  • Brand Strategy: Understand, own & educate on the RedBalloon brand strategy & customer
  • Brand Campaigns: Bring your strategy to life with long-term brand building campaigns, working with the media agency and internal creative team to deliver consistent growth in brand metrics, optimising media & creative choices to achieve growth targets.
  • Partnerships: Develop new and support existing brand partnerships aligned to the future vision of the brand to deliver brand goals, working closely with the campaigns team to deliver across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Annual Brand Plans: Develop annual brand & partnership plans to deliver on key brand goals, while identifying relevant key cultural moments & events to feed into the overall marketing go-to-market plan.
  • Online/Offline Brand Experiences: Collaborate with Platform, Customer Experience, Digital Experience & Ecomm to identify new ways for the brand strategy to come to life creating new experiences for the customers in online & offline environments including packaging designs.
  • Research & Social Listening: Be the conduit between the customer & our marketing team with regular customer listening, social listening & customer research to ensure relentless synergy between strategy, execution & customer.
  • Brand Health: monitor & reporting on the brand health metrics

Experience Required

  • 5+ years’ experience in brand or marketing
  • Excellent media, campaign & influencer management skills.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong customer research, insights, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional stakeholder influence required
  • Agency planning & strategy experience highly valued
