The Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment at CMI’s customer site located in Washington, DC.
Key Job Functions
- Provide both PM and ad-hoc (on-demand) maintenance
- Operate, repair, inspect, service, troubleshoot and maintain building mechanical equipment in a critical environment.
- o Chillers
- o Air handlers
- o Pumps
- o Motors
- o Cooling towers
- o Plate and frame systems
- o Package units
- o Other associated equipment
- Perform plumbing tasks including:
- o maintenance and repair on air, gas, sewage, hydraulic, and water systems
- o Unclogging drains
- o Leak and break repairs (in plumbing lines, fixtures, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and repair issues in electrical, lighting, and general maintenance areas
- Monitor the physical plant and EMCS system
- Support special events as needed
- Provide guest and employee escort as needed
- Participate in shared maintenance duties, including emergency and minor facilities repair
Qualifications
- Engineer shall possess a minimum of at least 5 years of recent (within the past 7 years) experience
- Must possess DC 3rd Class Engineer License
- Possess sufficient experience and proper licensing to operate plant units and systems
- Cognizant of prevailing standards and codes associated with position
- Can read blueprints and drawings
- Requires occasional work at all customer facilities in the Washington DC area.
- Shall be available to work overtime for special projects or events and shall be available on an emergency basis.
- Must be able to pass a government background check
