Business Analyst (HVAC sphere)

Company Background

Our client is the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial HVAC equipment, with global headquarters in Japan and North American operations based in Minneapolis. While highly advanced in manufacturing, the company is still developing its software product capabilities. To enhance the value of its equipment, the company is investing in IoT technologies that allow customers to remotely monitor, control, and troubleshoot HVAC systems, as well as access historical performance data.

Project Description

The project involves the development of a customer portal for Intelligent Equipment project. It consists of the development of a web portal where customers and technicians can control equipment and view data related to its operation. The portal features a responsive design so it can be viewed on a wide variety of computers and mobile devices. It integrates with CRM system to retrieve customer information and connects to the HVAC equipment via web services to Riptide cloud architecture that connects to controllers residing on the physical equipment. The current work also includes integration with IoT platform.

What You'll Do

• Work with existing applications, use documentation and collaborate with 2 product owners on client side and 2 dev teams to capture, refine and elaborate on new requirements;
• Day to day collaboration with the customer (~15-20 stakeholders) and local teams (~15 people). Meetings conduction upon need;
• Document newly implemented functionality;
• Work closely with UX designer;
• Facilitation of discussions;
• Tracking of decision-making process on customer side;
• Present requirements, concepts;
• Help troubleshoot cross-application issues;

Job Requirements

• 5+ years in IT, including 3+ years as a Business Analyst;
• Technical background (education or previous experience) or strong motivation to learn;
• Ability to quickly switch focus and manage several parallel discussions;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Excellent self-organization and attention to detail;
• English level: B2 or higher;
• Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and customer stakeholders;
