Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team in Tanzania. Reporting to the General Manager - Tanzania and Kenya, you will play an important role in the company's group strategy for diversification and growth through innovation and collaboration and ensuring the highest levels of integrity in order to meet client’s needs and expectations. You will be responsible for the profit growth of the Tanzania & Kenya businesses and managing the business profitability by overseeing agreed business development strategies. The role also involves, establishing and managing relationships with clients and communities that will lead to a diversified portfolio and significant growth of the business.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Required Competencies
- Team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative in the best interest of both the client and the company

- Ability to react quickly to changes in the market dynamics
Required Work Experience
- Strong sales experience
- Experience working in the local market in Tanzania and/ or Kenya
- Proven track record of sales
- Have an existing network of business contacts
Required Qualifications
- University Business Management related degree
- A minimum of 5 years experience, preferably within a TIC company or in the mining or logistics industry.
- Valid unrestricted driving licence
