Context of the role
DT One is currently seeking a Business Development Manager based in China with experience supporting a global company. Having a direct reporting line to the APAC Commercial Leader, this role will be responsible for hunting for new clients as a single contributor across the Greater China region. The hire will need to be target driven and have a passion and ownership to deliver numbers.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute towards the overall sales and business development plan to increase adoption of DT One products & services
- Key focus on accelerating transaction volumes & gross margin across industry verticals
- A key area of focus will be to onboard China based companies with a global presence
- Developing sales strategies using your local market expertise to maximise go-to-market resources and execute against relevant opportunities
- Responsible for managing relationships to ensure buy in of stakeholders across the following key industry verticals (Digital players, Social apps, gaming platforms, super apps, advertising agencies, banks & e-commerce).
- Hands on management of the end to end sales cycle, including lead generation, managing live accounts and working closely with C suites within digital, fintech, retail players to close deals
- Ensure excellent communication and internal coordination to roll-out new services taking into factors of market specificity (regulation, competition etc.)
- Full ownership of customer requests and exploring new opportunities to add value
- Attend trade shows, follow up on leads, follow up in sales process and increase the reputation of the company
- Ensure account retention, contractual health, well-being and maximum satisfaction of clients
Professional Experience
- 4-6 years’ experience with proven experience in delivering new business and account management
- Experience working in or selling into the digital apps sector such as gaming, social video apps, streaming apps, entertainment apps
- Good understanding of the loyalty, reward & incentive platform will be a bonus
- Ability to interact and negotiate at C level
- Strong balance of both strategic planning and active hands on approach is a must. This will be a hands-on role with deep involvement in execution, leading from the front
- Must possess a can-do, entrepreneurial drive, focusing on solving problems creatively with a high level of energy in a fast paced, global, complex and geographically diverse company
- Strong organization skills, management of priorities and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to influence and build credibility across all levels hence building collaborative relationships
- Ability to travel
- Proficient in CRM, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficient languages in English and Mandarin
