iKnowHow utilizes state-of-the-art technologies and handles end-to-end internal and external project development, from conception to completion. The second pillar of the group is our Robotics & Innovation division, which focuses on the design and production of customized robots.
We are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with experience in EU Institutions who will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities with the European Union institutions, agencies, and related bodies. The ideal candidate will drive growth by positioning the company as a trusted partner to EU actors and by converting insights into actionable opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a business development strategy aimed at EU institutions, agencies, and affiliated stakeholders.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities in EU tenders, framework contracts, grants, and direct engagement channels.
- Lead or support the preparation of competitive bids, proposals, and consortium agreements.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers across EU institutions (European Commission, Parliament, Council, EU agencies, etc.).
- Represent the company in meetings, industry events, and policy for a relevant to EU programmes.
- Work closely with internal teams (technical, legal, finance, product, delivery) to ensure readiness for EU opportunities.
- Support the development of long-term positioning strategies for target policy areas.
- Prepare business cases and revenue forecasts on EU-related opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
- Proven experience (3–7+ years) in business development, account management, EU affairs, or public sector sales-preferably engaging directly with EU institutions.
- Strong understanding of EU policymaking, funding instruments, and procurement procedures (TED, eTendering, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in managing bids and winning EU public sector contracts.
- Experience working within an EU institution, consultancy, association, or EU-funded project consortium.
- Sector-specific knowledge (e.g., digital innovation, environment, security, research & innovation, public policy).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English.
- Strong networking and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate policy developments into business opportunities.
- Ability to work autonomously and in cross-functional teams.
