LinkedIn’s Channel Partner team is responsible for driving growth, engagement, and monetization globally by identifying, executing, and managing partnerships and strategic initiatives. We are looking for a Business Development global lead to manage relationships with partners to help LinkedIn’s +1B global members get jobs and help companies find the right talent.
As part of LinkedIn’s Global Channel Partner team, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing go-to-market partnerships that accelerate growth and drive product adoption across our lines of business (primarily LinkedIn Talent Solutions) within Private Equity/Venture Capital (PE/VC) firms and their portfolio companies. You will be a key contributor to the strategy and execution of these partnerships worldwide. Your responsibilities will include identifying appropriate PE/VC’s to target and establish new business in those accounts whilst working closely with the sales team.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the strategy and execution of our PE/VC partnerships worldwide (specifically North America and Europe).
- Develop a strong understanding of LinkedIn’s business, product strategy and core platform assets
- Support the Business initiatives of your partners and identify opportunities for sales and performance improvement
- Acquire and nurture long term, trusting relationships at all levels, with our most strategic 3rd Party partners, developing strong collaboration with senior executives and high-influence leaders, that drive bookings performance, product adoption, and joint business success
- Show a high degree of comfort advising internal senior stakeholders and executives on the state of our business, driven by the insight gained from partner relationships
- Formulate a full understanding of each partner’s business model, to identify opportunities for mutual business growth and product synergy
- Partner with Legal and Compliance team in ensuring a healthy and reliable partner ecosystem, while building controls in place to ensure expected business norms and practices are established and maintained.
- Support deal execution with partners and customers, and support on-boarding, as needed, once a deal is signed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth partner onboarding, training, and support throughout the partnership.
- Show poise under pressure - whether presenting to a roomful of industry influencers, or advising a senior executive
- Analyze revenue, product performance and market data to effectively advocate for new opportunities and incremental investment - and lead the strategy to bring your plan from ideation to execution
- Educate sales, customer success and operations teams on effective 3rd Party partner engagement, to ease the buying cycle, engender loyalty, and set LinkedIn up as the go-to resource for resolving client challenges
- Serve as a generalist on partner requirements, to get things done, when needed
- Identify industry trends and share with the Product team to enhance our products
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience in business development, partnerships, or sales within the technology sector specifically within the PE/VC marketplace.
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the North America and Europe PE/VC ecosystem, including key companies, market trends, and funding landscape.
- Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced sales environment.
- Ability to manage strategic perspective and operational execution in parallel
- Demonstrable influence without authority
- Resilience and agility to manage ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate high-value relationships with founders, investors, and strategic partners.
- Experience driving incremental revenue through partner ecosystem against revenue targets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Travel 25-40% of time initially and based out of London
- Background as a founder, early stage operator, or have worked with Private Equity firms, accelerators/incubators, and/or Venture Capital
- Proven experience in collaborating and building relationships with PEs, VCs, Angel networks, accelerators, and incubators, with a track record of successful partnerships.
- Hands-on experience cultivating and nurturing self-sustaining startup communities, fostering engagement between startups and key partners.
- Experience with data analysis, and making data-driven business decisions
