This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional with a strong track record in relationship-based solutions selling. You will play a key role in expanding the business nationally, developing new client relationships, and driving revenue growth across multiple sectors, including agriculture, retail, food processing, and industrial markets. The position involves frequent national travel, creating financial models, presenting proposals, and leveraging your expertise to deliver strategic solutions. You will work closely with a collaborative team, utilizing tools like Microsoft Excel and Salesforce to manage pipelines and forecast sales. Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, identifying and closing new business opportunities
  • Create compelling presentations and financial models to support deal-making and customer engagement
  • Travel nationally (70–90%) to meet clients, present solutions, and build strong relationships
  • Apply solutions-selling techniques to solve business challenges for clients across multiple industries
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align product offerings with customer needs and market opportunities
  • Forecast sales and provide insights into pipeline dynamics to support strategic decision-making
  • Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably with manufacturers or producers of durable goods, food, or food-related products
  • Proven success in identifying, cultivating, and closing new business opportunities
  • Strong knowledge of market trends in consumer goods, packaging, retail, agriculture, and food processing
  • Experience managing extensive national travel (70–90%)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and ability to generate early sales success within 4–6 months
