What We Need:

Synapse and our Equip Business Line is seeking a driven, results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to fuel growth in our DME Benefit Management vertical, partnering with post-acute providers— including Hospice and Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) organizations—to expand our national footprint. This is a pure growth role, responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and converting new partner opportunities that drive revenue growth and market share.

You will work closely with our Senior Manager of Business Development to target high-potential markets and accounts, build relationships with decision-makers, and create a consistent flow of qualified opportunities for the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, is self-motivated, and brings strong knowledge of hospice, post-acute, and DME/Pharmacy/Medical Supply ecosystems.

What You Will Do: 

  • Identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities with hospice and post-acute care providers.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospects through outbound outreach (calls, emails, events, and networking)
  • Schedule and support initial discovery calls, demos, and meetings with senior decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager to refine targeting, messaging, and outreach strategies.
  • Work hand-in-hand with leadership to move prospects through the sales cycle—from first contact, through negotiations, to signed contract.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM, ensuring timely follow-up and pipeline visibility.
  • Provide market intelligence by tracking competitive trends and emerging opportunities.
  • Support the development of tailored proposals, presentations, and follow-ups for key prospects.
  • Participate in select industry conferences and networking events to generate leads.

  • Hospice/Post-Acute Knowledge: 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within hospice, post-acute care, or DME.
  • Relationship Builder: Confident engaging with clinical and administrative decision-makers.
  • Organized & Metrics-Driven: Strong pipeline management skills, using data and CRM tools to drive outcomes.
  • Collaborative Partner: Works seamlessly with senior sales leadership to execute on strategy.
  • Mission-Aligned: Energized by Equips goal to radically improve the DME experience for patients, providers, and caregivers.

What Sets You Apart: 

  • Existing relationships with hospice executives and referral networks.
  • Experience in early-stage or rapidly scaling healthcare companies.
  • History of successful sales or account management working directly with Hospice focused DME’s/DME Benefit Management, Pharmacy Benefit Management or Medical Supply vendors.
  • Familiarity with complex provider sales (multi-site or multi-market deals)
  • Communication: Demonstrate knowledge to reply and receive information to and from others.
  • Integrity: Demonstrates behaviors that are consistent with standards for professional and ethical conduct.
  • Initiative: Acting on one’s own initiative; making the most of opportunities and undertaking something even if it entails risk.
  • Interpersonal: Demonstrates effective interactions with individuals.
