Role Overview
The Business Operations Manager is a critical leadership role focused on driving day-to-day execution of platform-wide operational initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role's focuses on establishing and managing the operational backbone through data-driven performance monitoring, building platform SOPs, and managing operational improvement projects and investments. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, proactive, and capable of owning multiple complex projects end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Operations:Performance tracking: Manage the company metric program and support monthly reviews and follow on action itemsStrategic initiatives: Manage end-to-end platform projects that enable Canopy A&D to scale efficientlyM&A integration: Provide integration support for future acquisitionsFunctional Management Support:SOP development: Own the end-to-end creation of functional standards across the operating companiesCompliance: Track and manage key compliance requirements and company actionsOperational Excellence:Investment oversight: Assist with managing investments and tracking ROIContinual improvement: Continually identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and tooling across the platform and operating companiesEfficiency management: Advise platform leadership on how to do more with less
Required Qualifications
B.S. in Business Administration, Engineering or a related technical field4 -7 years in program management, operations, engineering preferably within a highly regulated manufacturing companyProficiency with ERP systems and advanced level user with Microsoft PowerPoint and ExcelExperienced building materials and presenting to executivesTrack record of partnering with senior leadership and communicating complex initiatives clearly and concisely
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or master’s degree in business, Engineering Management, Operations, or a related technical fieldPrior experience in a startup, private-equity-backed, or high-growth manufacturing environment with evolving systems and processesExperience working within A&D or similarly regulated industries (AS9100, ITAR/EAR, ISO, FDA, etc.) is a plus
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
