NetSuite Technical & Integration Specialist

Professional and Technical Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical PoC for NetSuite integrations with upstream/downstream applications (e.g., Bill.com, LeapFin, Pigment).

• Translate business processes and data flows into clear technical and functional specifications (BRD, FRD).

• Design and implement end-to-end solutions using SuiteScript, SuiteTalk (REST/SOAP), and SuiteFlow.

• Perform data cleansing, transformation, mapping, and migration—especially during implementation and integration projects.

• Troubleshoot integration issues, script errors, and automation failures, and ensure robust system performance.

• Build and customize financial and operational reports using Financial Report Builder, SuiteAnalytics, Saved Searches, and Advanced HTML/PDF templates.

• Drive automation by identifying opportunities to optimize workflows using custom scripts, SuiteFlow, or third-party tools.

• Lead technical workstreams in NetSuite module rollouts or enhancements (e.g., Revenue Subledger, Fixed Assets, Purchasing.).

• Support business stakeholders in their reporting and data analysis needs while ensuring system integrity and data quality.

• Participate in process reviews, identify gaps, and recommend/implement improvements for efficiency and scalability.

• Provide technical documentation and support knowledge transfer within the IT and finance systems teams.
  

Must-Have Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite

• Proficiency in Boomi
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in NetSuite ERP with strong exposure to:

- SuiteScript (1.0/2.x) and SuiteFlow

- SuiteTalk (REST/SOAP integrations)

- SuiteBuilder and configuration

- Saved Searches & Financial Report Builder

• Experience with NetSuite integrations—building or managing integrations with external systems like Salesforce, Workday, or middleware (Dell Boomi, Celigo, etc.).

• Strong understanding of finance cycles: P2P (Procure-to-Pay), O2C (Order-to-Cash), and R2R (Record-to-Report).

• Familiarity with NetSuite sandbox development, testing, and deployment best practices.

• Working knowledge of JavaScript, SQL, JSON, and Web Services (REST, SOAP).

• Experience in accounting/reporting within a SaaS or fast-paced tech organization is a plus.

• Project management experience and familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in NetSuite ERP focusing on technical and integration aspects.

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to operate independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  

6-Month Accomplishments:

• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in Accounting, IT, and Engineering.

• Deliver 5–6 scoped-out technical requirements (BRDs) for NetSuite customizations.

• Implement and stabilize 2–3 high-impact automation or integration use-cases.

• Customize and deploy 4–5 advanced financial reports based on stakeholder needs.
  

12-Month+ Accomplishments:

• Establish yourself as the technical go-to person for all NetSuite integration needs.

• Create a reusable framework or toolkit for handling integrations across the finance stack.

• Lead the rollout of 1–2 new NetSuite modules or third-party system integrations.

• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the standardization of integration/documentation best practices.
