We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Central Sterilising Services Operations Manager to provide leadership, governance and ongoing development of our Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD). This pivotal role ensures safe, efficient and compliant delivery of reusable medical devices and instrumentation across Epworth, supporting positive clinical outcomes and exceptional patient care
You will make an impact by:
- Leading and engaging a multidisciplinary team of instrument technicians, nurses and support staff.
- Driving operational performance, resource management and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and NSQHS requirements.
- Fostering strong relationships with perioperative teams, Visiting Medical Officers and key stakeholders.
- Championing safety, wellbeing and a culture of collaboration and innovation.
To be successful in this role…
You are a proven leader with:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing (essential).
- Significant perioperative experience and a track record in senior nursing leadership.
- Strong financial, HR and business acumen, with experience managing budgets and workforce planning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire high-performing teams.
- Previous experience leading within Sterilising Services highly desirable
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrates leadership initiative, motivation and self-confidence with
