We are a fast-growing youth sports organization operating across multiple locations across the US and Canada. We create exceptional experiences for children and families while running a complex, operationally driven business behind the scenes.

We are seeking a strategic CFO to lead all financial aspects of a growing, multi-entity organization. This role is ideal for a CFO who thrives in competitive environments, balances strategy with execution, and has a proven ability to drive profitability, scale operations, and support complex growth initiatives including M&A, capital projects, and international operations.

The CFO will join the executive team—providing insight, structure, and financial discipline while enabling growth.

Requirements

Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute long-term strategic plans, including growth initiatives, acquisitions, and operational scaling.
  • Translate business plans into integrated financial models, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs tailored to multi-location and seasonal operations.
  • Lead enterprise-level financial modeling, scenario analysis, and ROI evaluation to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide scenario analysis and ROI modeling for:
    • New facility launches
    • Program and pricing decisions
    • Marketing spend and customer acquisition
    • Staffing and capacity planning

Financial Operations & Performance

  • Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities across multiple entities.
  • Ensure financial and operational compliance.
  • Implement proactive cost management and margin improvement initiatives to drive sustained profitability.
  • Develop dashboards and performance reporting that connect operational KPIs to financial outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with external investors.
  • Secure and manage financing for growth initiatives and capital projects.
  • Oversee treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, debt restructuring, and FX strategy (as applicable).

Systems, Process & Scale

  • Build scalable financial systems and processes.
  • Improve accuracy, efficiency, and insight through automation and streamlined workflows.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing finance team.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Communicate complex financial insights clearly to non-financial leaders.
