We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the operations and maintenance of a commercial high-rise office building. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in EMS (Energy Management Systems) automation, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing building systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and efficiency.

Compensation: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 / annual salary (US Dollars)
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program
 
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all engineering operations for the building, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Implement and optimize EMS automation systems to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Coordinate with property management and vendors for repairs, upgrades, and capital projects.
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and engineering operations.
  • Train and supervise engineering staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards.
  • Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively.
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in building engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial high-rise building systems and EMS automation technologies.
  • Valid certifications in HVAC, electrical, or related fields preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
