As a dynamic and results-oriented City Sales Director, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing relationships with our valued customers while driving sales growth in the Greater Nashville Metro Area. You will be responsible for promoting our comprehensive product line including residential and commercial doors, moldings, windows, stairs and related products to Contractor/Retail customers. Supervisory
Conduct interviews and assess qualifications of sales rep applicants using effective techniques and company policies.Provide on-the-job training to sales staff, focusing on presentations, demonstrations, and customer service.Motivate and evaluate sales staff performance against established standards, providing feedback and support.Actively respond to employee and customer suggestions for improvement with effective leadership and communication.
Sales
Meet with potential and existing customers to promote the company's product line, with special emphasis on proprietary and high-margin items.Address and resolve issues related to product coordination and delivery, liaising with internal departments and customers.Analyze market conditions to develop marketing strategies and sales programs focusing on driving growth.Support sales teams in developing and refining sales techniques through fieldwork and shared expertise.Assist customers with inquiries and complaints using comprehensive product knowledge and communication skills.
Planning, Financial, and Development
Assist in evaluating market conditions to work with the sales team to set sales goals each fiscal year.Collaborate with President to establish company-wide goals and specific objectives.Review monthly divisional goals and staff performance, adjusting strategies as needed.Assist the Credit Department when needed on certain delinquent accounts receivable to ensure timely collection.Draft policies and procedures to streamline sales, office, and warehouse operations.Support other office functions as needed, leveraging acquired skills.Gain proficiency in Ponderosa software and other relevant tools.Utilize vendor quoting software and analytics tools effectively.Analyze stock inventory to identify opportunities for sales growth.Take a leadership role in local Homebuilder Associations, promoting sales rep involvement and growth.Coordinate efforts with CenWood Appliance to strategically share customers within the company.Review permit listings regularly and proactively engage contractors not currently engaged with the company.

Preferred Competencies / Experience
5-10+ years of industry-related experience in doors, trim, and millwork in the housing industry.Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending the English language.Previous experience in outside sales or architectural calls a plus.Ability to read blueprints, develop estimates, and quotes.Knowledge of sales margins and mark-ups.Customer/Client Focus, exceptional communication, interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving /analysis capabilities.Organizational skills: ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.Computer proficiency, including familiarity with PC's MS office, Power BI, Teams and remote meetings, vendor software, Ponderosa, Contact Management software.Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.Business acumen.Candidate must display honesty, Integrity, dependability, flexibility, objectivity, ethics and professionalism.
