Some Infrastructure Numbers
80+ million external HTTP requests per day
10+ mobile/desktop apps
150+ microservices
150+ Cloud infrastructure users (software/data/security engineers)
What you'll be doing
As a Cloud Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the security and scalability of our cloud infrastructure by building, automating, and managing our AWS environments. Here's what your day-to-day will look like:
Build and optimize infrastructure – By designing, managing, and automating scalable, reliable, secure and cost-effective AWS Cloud environments using services like EC2 for compute, ECS and EKS for container orchestration, S3 for file storage, and Lambda for serverless functions.
Automate deployments with IaC – By leveraging Terraform to provision, maintain, and automate infrastructure deployments, ensuring consistency, version control, and repeatability across our environments.
Manage multi-account environments – By overseeing and securing multi-account AWS setups, implementing best practices for IAM roles and permissions, network segmentation, and automation strategies for enhanced security and governance.
Integrate CI/CD pipelines – By automating infrastructure updates and deployments using Terraform in conjunction with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline for efficient and reliable releases.
Monitor systems and security – By utilizing tools like AWS CloudWatch for performance monitoring and alerting, and OpenSearch (ELK stack) for log analysis and proactive health monitoring, ensuring operational uptime and security incident detection.
Collaborate & Learn – Work in a collaborative team using modern stack (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform) and take ownership of smaller projects as you grow your technical expertise.
Expect challenges, collaboration, and the freedom to bring your ideas to life. Things change quickly here, so be ready to adapt, take initiative, and shape your role as we grow.
Who we're looking for
We need a problem-solver who loves teamwork and gets things done. If you're curious and ready for real ownership, you'll fit in! Does this sound like you?
Relevant experience – 1-3 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud, DevOps or SRE Engineer in cloud infrastructure management leveraging any of the top tier Cloud Providers (AWS preferred).
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) proficiency – With hands-on experience using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management, including managing state, writing reusable modules, and adhering to best practices.
Linux basics – Comfortable with managing Linux servers in a cloud environment and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes is a nice-to-have), ensuring smooth operation, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
Networking fundamentals – You have a solid grasp of core networking concepts beyond just "making it work". You understand TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S,SSL/TLS handshakes and the traffic routing behind these protocols. You are comfortable designing secure architectures and troubleshooting connectivity issues between microservices using tools like curl, dig/nslookup, or tcpdump.
Automate everything – You are good at identifying and addressing repetitive tasks, reducing the effort required for these activities through automation using scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
AI-Augmented Productivity – You embrace modern tooling to work smarter, not harder. You leverage AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor) to accelerate the writing of IaC modules and scripts, generate boilerplate code, or troubleshoot complex stack traces. You understand the limitations of these tools but know how to use them to reduce toil and focus on high-value architectural challenges.
Language proficiency – You are fluent in both Italian and English, enabling effective communication within our international team.
Don't worry if you don't tick every box. We believe in the power of different viewpoints and strengths. Your unique perspective is important as we build something special. If you're passionate and can make a difference, we truly encourage you to apply.
