As a CNC Engineer – Quality & Maintenance, you will hold a dual role within our production team: operating and maintaining CNC machinery for aluminum profile cutting, while also ensuring that every component meets our quality standards before assembly or shipment. Your work directly impacts product precision, material efficiency, and customer satisfaction through quality control, continuous improvement, and defect prevention.
Key Responsibilities
CNC Operation & Production
Prepare and set up CNC machines based on digital instructions and configuration files.
Calibrate cutting tools, fixtures, and positioning systems to ensure dimensional accuracy and clean finishes.
Verify profiles, programs, cutting sequences, and parameters before starting production to avoid material waste.
Perform preventive maintenance, respond to machine failures, and carry out basic repairs to minimize downtime.
Detect recurring operational or programming issues and report them to internal teams or service providers.
Record incidents, maintenance activities, and adjustments in the machine control system.
Adjust or develop CNC programs for new product launches or process improvements.
Quality Control (QC) & Inspection
Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of machined parts and assembled products.
Validate that parts meet tolerances and quality standards before assembly or packaging.
Identify defect trends and define inspection criteria for critical components.
Investigate customer complaints or returns to determine root causes related to machinery, materials, or processes.
Work closely with Production, CNC, and Assembly teams to correct deviations and prevent recurrence.
Document inspection results, defects, and complaint analyses.
Prepare quality reports with statistics and improvement recommendations.
Review quality claims from Customer Service and define the appropriate action (repair, replacement, or rework).
Create rework or claim orders and coordinate priorities with the Production Manager.
Requirements
2–4 years of experience operating CNC machines, performing machine maintenance, or working in quality inspection.
Knowledge of aluminum cutting, CNC programming, and dimensional measurement methods.
Experience using root cause analysis tools and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
Technical or professional education in manufacturing, machining, mechanical engineering, or related fields (preferred).
Basic ability to interpret 3D models and technical drawings for production and inspection.
Conversational English for technical documentation and communication.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Machine availability (uptime).
Defect rate and corrective actions.
Quality claim resolution time.
Preventive maintenance compliance.
