Commis Chef (Season 2026)
At Santa Marina, a Luxury Collection Resort, Mykonos, every guest experience is thoughtfully crafted, and every team member plays a vital role in creating memorable stays. As a Commis Chef, you will bring your passion for culinary excellence to the heart of our kitchens, contributing to dishes that delight every guest. You will assist across all stages of preparation, support daily kitchen operations, and ensure that every dish reflects the attention to detail, creativity, and quality that defines the Luxury Collection dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage your assigned kitchen station, ensuring all ingredients are ready and organized for service
- Assist in marinating, cutting, and preparing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients with precision and consistency
- Prepare garnishes and support plating to maintain high visual and culinary standards
- Cook portions of plated meals according to requirements, under guidance from the Chef de Partie
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of your station throughout the shift
- Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment at the end of service
- Wrap and store unused ingredients according to hygiene and safety standards
- Adhere to hygiene, food safety, and organizational standards at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar entry-level role in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- Formal qualification in Culinary Arts from a recognized institute or vocational school certificate
- Passion for culinary excellence and delivering exceptional dishes
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality and consistency
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic, high-performing team
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a proactive willingness to learn and develop skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
