Responsibilities

• Perform surgical procedures related to thoracic conditions, including but not limited to lung resections, mediastinal surgery, and esophagectomy.
• Evaluate patient medical histories, diagnostic tests, and imaging results to determine appropriate treatment options.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pulmonologists, and nursing staff to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
• Monitor and manage patients during pre-operative and post-operative phases, addressing any complications as they arise.
• Educate patients and their families on thoracic conditions, treatment options, and recovery expectations.
• Maintain meticulous medical records for all patient interactions and surgical procedures.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in thoracic surgery and related medical practices.

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution with specialization in Thoracic Surgery.
• Board certification in Thoracic Surgery.
• Current medical license to practice in the Gulf region.
• Extensive experience in performing thoracic surgical procedures in an academic or clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of thoracic anatomy, surgical techniques, and patient management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently.
