Consutant II - GP (Java Backend Developer)

At Logistics Reply, we are hiring a Junior Backend Engineer. She/he will be a key member of the team building our next-generation Dedicated Automation Layer. This is a unique opportunity to grow skills by working on a complex, real-world microservices project.

Under the mentorship of our senior engineers, she/he will contribute to developing, testing, and deploying the software that orchestrates our fleet of autonomous vehicles. She/he will be challenged to learn and apply modern software engineering practices in an industrial automation setting

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain features within specific microservices under the guidance of a senior engineer.

Write high-quality unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and correctness of our software.

Assist in the development of REST APIs and data models.

Debug and resolve issues in existing code, contributing to the stability of the platform.

Collaborate with the team on technical design and problem-solving.

Contribute to technical documentation to ensure our systems are well-understood and maintainable

Minimum Requirements

2+ years of professional software engineering experience

Java: Solid understanding of Java (17+) and object-oriented programming principles.

Spring & Spring Boot: Foundational knowledge of building applications with Spring Boot, including creating REST controllers and using Spring Data JPA.

Testing: Experience writing unit tests with frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.

Databases: Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.

Version Control: Proficiency with Git for source code management.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with microservice concepts and architectures.

Exposure to message brokers (e.g., NATS).

Basic knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
