- Responsible for assisting government contracting officers with large and small purchase contract actions, covering various cradle-to-grave functions.
- Responsible for preparing for award and assisting with the administration of contracts and task orders.
- Responsible for reviewing Statements of Work for completeness.
- Responsible for reviewing solicitation packages for completeness.
- Responsible for preparing Determinations and Findings in accordance with the FAR.
- Responsible for reviewing funding documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Responsible for advising program offices and providing examples of documents to include in solicitation packages.
- Responsible for working with program offices to resolve contract-related issues as needed.
- Responsible for inputting contracts, task orders, and purchase orders into the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS).
- Responsible for researching and providing statistical data to contracting officers.
- Responsible for conducting market research and preparing market research documentation.
- Responsible for preparing and disseminating various types of Requests for Information.
- Responsible for inputting market research data into usable spreadsheets.
- Responsible for assisting contract specialists with pre- and post-award conferences.
- Responsible for inputting data into the Federal Procurement Data System – Next Generation (FPDS-NG) database.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS (i.e., Education, Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree required with at least 24 hours of business-related coursework
- Eight (8) years of demonstrated relevant experience, including federal government contract support or assisting Contracting Officers as a contractor
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and superior time management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to perform all duties listed above
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree preferred in a related field such as business, management, or contracting
- Experience supporting federal government contract actions, including assistance to Contracting Officers
- Proficient knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), specifically Parts 5, 8, 10, 12, and 15
- Experience with contract administration, task orders, and large and small purchase contracts
