Cook I Prep - Buffet (SE)

Perform basic food preparation in accordance with standardized recipes, department specifications, and quality standards.

Job Functions

• Perform basic food preparation duties requiring minimal recipe knowledge, working under close supervision such as cleaning and slicing produce, slicing cold meats, making garnish and salads.
• Maintain established inventory levels and order stock.
• Monitor quality of prepared products and follow established storage and rotation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of work station and storage areas.
• Consistently apply established safety and sanitation procedures.
• Works and communicates with cooks and kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience as a prep cook preferred.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
• Must be able to lift, carry and maneuver up to 75 pounds.
• Other physical requirements of the position include but are not necessarily limited to reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, and twisting at the waist.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
