Position Overview
The Part-Time Cook supports funeral services, visitations, and community gatherings by preparing and serving quality food in a clean and organized kitchen environment. Scheduling will vary based on service and event needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and dietary requests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen at all times
- Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, and temperature logging standards
- Assist with event food setup and service as needed
- Support inventory management, deliveries, and basic menu planning
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
Requirements
• A dependable team player with kitchen experience (preferred, but not required)
• Detail–oriented and committed to cleanliness and food safety
• A clear communicator with a positive attitude
• Comfortable working in a respectful, professional, and compassionate environment
• Able to take initiative and work without constant supervision
