Role Overview:
As a Substitute Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to provide temporary instruction in the absence of full-time instructors. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining the learning momentum for students and ensuring they receive the essential practical and theoretical guidance necessary for their success in the beauty industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute lesson plans and instructional activities as directed, engaging students in hands-on learning experiences.
• Demonstrate various cosmetology techniques and practices effectively.
• Evaluate and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and creativity.
• Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation protocols in all classroom activities.
• Collaborate with faculty to uphold curriculum standards and educational objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• A valid Educator License from the State of Illinois is a must.
• Experience in the cosmetology field with practical knowledge of techniques is a plus.
• Prior teaching or educational experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student growth and development.

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $19.00 and $22.00/hr. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
