Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support for a portfolio of agreements and internal stakeholders, primarily for NBCUniversal’s Sourcing and Operations & Technology groups
- Draft, review negotiate and support a variety of corporate transaction agreements for NBCUniversal and its various business units, including M&A and related activities
- Advise clients regarding contractual rights and duties, matters of contract interpretation, and pre-litigation dispute resolution
- Coordinate with Privacy, Information Security and Compliance teams to ensure personal data and confidential information is collected, used and secured in accordance with company requirements and evolving law
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Law degree and member of a state bar in good standing
- 4+ years of experience at law firm or comparable in-house position
Desired Characteristics:
- Prior experience regarding M&A, technology, data security or intellectual property issues is a plus
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to juggle and prioritize a high volume of deals and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment, as a good-natured and enthusiastic team player
- Eagerness and proven ability to adapt and develop new expertise, as business needs and technologies evolve
- Capable, comfortable with, and commitment to providing timely and practical guidance to business team members at all levels
This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
