Creative Publishing Manager
The Creative Publishing Manager will report to the Head of A&R. The Creative Publishing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development of songs and songwriters alongside the A&R team and in line with the vision of Bethel Music. They will work with the Publishing team to ensure all works are collated and registered with all relevant metadata in a timely manner. They will give direction and input in to the development of all writers, reflecting the vision of Bethel Music as a collective and developing the individual writer expressions within that vision. The Creative Publishing Manager, alongside the VP of Bethel Music and A&R team will help identify potential new writer acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate relationships with all Bethel Music writers
- Work with A&R to find suitable writing collaborations for artists and writers
- Alongside A&R, help setting up writing trips and collaborations
- Understand the Bethel Music catalog and work to find potential outlets for standout songs
- Give feedback on submitted songs directly or through the relevant A&R Director
- Help establish and co-ordinate regular Bethel Music songwriting camps
- Create and establish development plans for writers
- Directly oversee staff writers
- Ensure that all demos and songwriting sessions are uploaded to central database and all necessary metadata including writer splits and date of creation are registered
- Work with Publishing team to ensure all song data is current and to help gather any missing information
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with other music publishers, labels, writers, Church movements and artists to create opportunities for collaborations
- Establish opportunities for shared song promotions with collaborated publishers
