About Lendable
Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 600 people
Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
Profitable since 2017
Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)
So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.
We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Financial Operations team. This role will take ownership of our rapidly growing Autolend indemnities process. As transaction volumes have increased with our broker partners, managing indemnities and outstanding balances has become more complex. We need an individual with the motivation to tackle the current backlog, bring clarity and rigour, and establish strong processes for the future. You’ll also support credit control work across our wider product suite.
You’ll be comfortable working in complex Google Sheets, tracing payments, and reconciling data. Much of the role involves resolving issues related to complaints, chasing refunds, unblocking cases, or ensuring funds are correctly allocated. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll work with both internal teams and external broker partners. Experience in motor finance or fintech is a strong plus.
You’ll not only resolve current issues but also help establish and improve our credit control processes to enable scale.
What You’ll Do
Own and manage indemnities for the Autolend product, tracking and resolving outstanding balances with broker partners
Reconcile and maintain detailed records using Google Sheets, pulling data from multiple sources
Investigate and resolve misallocated or delayed funds, especially those linked to complaints
Build productive relationships with brokers and internal teams to resolve issues and set up smooth processes for the future
Work closely with the commercial/sales team to ensure the protection of the commercial relationships with brokers and dealers.
Collaborate with the Legal team as required to support effective recovery and indemnity actions.
Chase outstanding payments professionally and sensitively
Document and improve credit control procedures for Autolend and other products as required
Prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting risks and improvement opportunities
Support ad-hoc processes across Financial Operations
Expand into additional financial operations tasks as proficiency in credit control indemnities develops.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years as a credit controller, ideally in financial services
Proficient Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUPs, pivots, data validation, etc.) and strong reconciliation ability
Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experienced at working cross-functionally and managing external partners, especially brokers
Proven record in debt chasing and account reconciliations with multiple parties
Motor finance and/or fintech experience is a major advantage
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Process-oriented, resilient, and comfortable with ambiguity
Experience documenting and improving processes
-
Self-starter, able to take initiative and deliver independently
Day-to-Day Examples
Reviewing historic indemnity/complaints cases and tracing balances in Google Sheets and our internal systems
Liaising with brokers to agree on repayments or resolve disputes
Working with complaints and finance teams to clear stuck items
Updating and reporting on reconciliations
Documenting and improving procedures
-
Contributing to broader credit control activity across Lendable
