The Crop Protection Area Sales Manager will play a key role in driving growth and adoption of crop protection products and services across the assigned territory. This role combines strategic marketing, relationship management, and hands-on sales execution to support agricultural partners and customers. You will develop and implement marketing plans, educate customers on product offerings, and coordinate private label and proprietary brand solutions. The position requires proactive engagement with both retail and member cooperatives, monitoring market trends, and providing actionable insights to optimize sales performance. This role offers an opportunity to influence market strategies, mentor teams, and strengthen the brand’s presence within the crop protection sector. Travel and field-level engagement are essential components of this position.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term and annual crop protection marketing plans and communicate product messaging across the territory.
  • Lead promotion and adoption of crop protection products and proprietary adjuvants, ensuring alignment with business objectives and profitability goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with FS Members, retail partners, and vendors to support product adoption and marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor competitor activity, gather market intelligence, and adjust strategies to address competitive pressures.
  • Provide leadership in training and support for crop protection products and adjuvants, coordinating with agronomic services and internal teams.
  • Conduct sales calls, engage with customers, and participate in industry events to enhance brand awareness and drive growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales history, product activity, and reports on market trends.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing leadership experience, preferably within the crop protection or agricultural industry.
  • Strong business knowledge, customer focus, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and execute strategic marketing plans, budgets, and communications.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; ability to travel independently and overnight as required.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • Willingness to participate in required training related to company policies, procedures, and position responsibilities.
